The main tools that I use to make music videos are Pro Tools, Ableton Live, DaVinci Resolve, with occasional help from EZ Drummer 3. The completed videos, audio stems, PDFs of sheet music, etc are all published on the song’s web page on this web site. Guitar Pro publishes in a variety of formats. Occasionally, MuseScore is uniquely useful for publishing as well.

It is important to be able to view all the audio / video files in a comprehensive yet compact subdirectory structure. This is a challenge because the Windows machines I use employ WSL 2 to run Ubuntu Linux. I use Windows programs to create the media, and WSL programs and scripts for automation and website preparation.

The website root uses a different file system format than the file system that contains the audio and video files because it runs under a different operating system.

I use NTFS/ext4 Compatible Aliases to make it seem like selected files in the audio/video directory tree are available from paths in the website directory.
